"We had received a development grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and were working on our final submission.  The core element was a restoration project, but we also needed various educational, community and training ones which could be wrapped up together in an Activity Plan.  It was clear that without a first class Activity Plan we would not succeed.   On top of that we were up against a tight deadline if we wanted to get the bid through in time for the project to begin later that year.

"Between 2004 and 2009, I worked for The Dartington Hall Trust as the Woodlands and Conservation Manager. During 2009 Brenda and Julie identified Landfill Communities Fund as a possible funding body for the construction and installation of a boardwalk and associated interpretation within an important wildlife site.
